The “Wu Massacre” takes on Hip-Hop

Together, Wu-Tang Clan members Method Man, Raekwon and Ghostface Killah recorded the album “Wu Massacre”. The video for the first single “Our Dreams” gives a foretaste of Meth’s show on Sunday of the upcoming Live At Easter Festival.

Diam’s reveals new video for “Coeur de bombe”

French icon rapper Diam’s has just presented the new video for the single “Coeur de bombe” off her current album “S.O.S.”. The song will hopefully be featured on her set list for LATE Sunday.

Dabu Fantastic to open the Live At Easter Festival

Zurich local hero funk-hop trio Dabu Fantastic will be the opener for LATE Festival at X-TRA on Friday, April 2. They’re going to bring along a lot of new material of their brand new second album “Discochugle” which will be released one day before, on April 1. Blumentopf to bring along stuff from their upcoming album at LATE Festival

The Live At Easter Festival will begin in exactly two weeks. Also on stage is the legendary German combo Blumentopf. The five guys will release their new album “Wir” in June. At LATE Festival they’re going to present some of the new songs to the X-TRA audience – so if you want to listen to fresh tracks, come and visit us this Easter.

Dendemann: New video, new hair

Former member of the German hip hop duo Eins Zwo Dendemann has just released the video for his new song „Stumpf ist Trumpf“. This is the first single of his upcoming album “Vom Vintage Verweht” which will hit the stores within a week after the Live At Easter Festival. The song doesn’t exactly sound like his older stuff, but it’s definitely very entertaining.

The Beatnuts complete the festival line up

The new Live at Easter Festival opens the festival season at Easter 2010 with carefully selected Hip Hop acts. Internationally reknown artists from three language areas will perform at the indoor festival in the middle of zurich. Besides Method Man, IAM and Blumentopf as headliners, the Beatnuts complete the line up.
The basic idea of this year’s festival ist to present top-class live acts, which had a leading role in establishing Hip Hop as an international phenomenon.

Our vision is to establish a three night indoor festival over the Easter weekend presenting international relevant live music. The sound line shall not be restricted to a single music style or niche. The Beatnuts (USA)
The Beatnuts are the undisputed kings of wild partying. They have contributed greatly to the reputations of Fat Joe and Big Punisher and acquired legendary status thanks to their incomparable flow and timelessly pumping beats. On stage, the two rappers Ju Ju and Psycho Les can crank up the mood to boiling point with their party classics.

Ever since the legendary «Eins, Zwo» days when he performed in a duo with Rabauke, Dendemann has been synonymous with high tech rap oozing charisma. Dendemann seduces his listeners and whisks them off into his world of witty, amazing comparisons, effortlessly conjuring up stories of unrivalled entertainment value. His new solo album «Vom Vintage verweht» is due out in mid-April.
IAM (FR) Le groupe culte de Marseille
The icons from Marseille IAM are the most distinctive group on the French rap scene. They made their international breakthrough with the album «L’école du micro d’argent». In 1997 they raised the bar in French rap in terms of content and music.
With years of experience performing live and countless hits by the exceptional rap talents of Akhenaton, Shurik’n & Co., IAM’s concerts have become a unique experience.
Hochus Pocus (FR) Jazzy, Funky, Groovy
Virtuoso and innovative musicians
Far away from ghetto-cliché trash-talk, the six-man live crew from Nantes wow their audiences with their considered lyrics, packed with irony. Hocus Pocus are «The Roots» of French rap – all real virtuoso, innovative musicians. Hocus Pocus create their own funky soul sound with a blend of bass, drums and keyboards, leaving room for improvisation and scratch inserts. Hocus Pocus will be promoting their new album «16 pièces», which comes out in March.
De la Soul (USA) The Legends
The Live at Easter Festival is proud to present the legends of Hip Hop live on stage. De la Soul have become a permanent fi xture in Hip Hop history since their debut LP in 1989, with many timeless hits like «Me, Myself & I», «Ring Ring Ring» or «Feel Good inc.».
The trio is the embodiment of humorous, respectful rap without any hint of bling bling and violence. Their legendary gigs radiate an incomparable positivity which is completely infectious.
Blumentopf (DE) Freestyle-Kings
The freestyle kings
Blumentopf are the best German live rappers around: anyone who’s ever been to a concert by the Munichbased crew keeps going back! Spontaneous freestyle inserts, a frenzied atmosphere and plenty of hits make a Blumentopf gig an unforgettable experience. Blumentopf bring out their longawaited new album in June and will be giving festival-goers an exclusive preview of their new material.
Curse (DE) - In-depth honesty
Curse possesses the rare talent of being able to analyse complex correlations with razor-sharp precision and of touching the listener’s very core with apt rhymes. Method Man (USA) - How High?!
Whether it be as a member of the Wu-Tang Clan collective, paired with Redman or as a solo artist, Method Man has brought out countless Hip Hop classics and is one of the most charismatic rappers around. It is impossible to resist his roguish grin and overwhelming charm when Method Man unleashes his signature gruff voice. Method Man will be
